Our company
ILE D’OR COMPANY was born from our strong desire to revolutionize the way vanilla is consumed worldwide. Founded in 2020 by an ambitious young entrepreneur, Paouan Elvis, our mission is to introduce to the world this spice from Madagascar — a product that, though sometimes underestimated, is often found in dishes prepared by Michelin-starred chefs.
But ILE D’OR COMPANY is more than just a producer and exporter of Madagascar vanilla. Our ambition goes far beyond exploiting a high-potential sector. We place great importance on promoting a sustainable and ethical vanilla culture, with the goal of offering our clients a product that is natural, organic, and of the highest quality.
We work closely with farmers from various vanilla-producing regions of Madagascar. Each vanilla vine is planted using environmentally friendly methods. To preserve the soil and ensure sustainable cultivation, no pesticides are used. Every vanilla bean is carefully harvested and traditionally processed to preserve its full flavor and aroma.
At ILE D’OR COMPANY, our goal is to build a trust-based and transparent relationship with both our partner growers and our clients. While the former are fairly compensated, the latter benefit from complete traceability of their products — from the harvesting and fermentation of the vanilla beans to their drying, packaging, and shipment.
This commitment to quality and ethics has earned us double certification: Ecocert and FairTrade.
